Suseong Webtoon Forms Technology Alliance with AI Content Specialist for Webtoon Production Innovation

Suseong Webtoon announced on April 23 that it will enter into a strategic partnership with NeoEnterDX, a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) content. The two companies have launched a joint project to introduce generative AI technology throughout the entire webtoon production process and to build an automated system for content planning, illustration, and editing.

Suseong Webtoon is a rapidly growing content company aiming for annual sales of 140 billion KRW. Based on its self-produced webtoon IP, the company exports content to more than 20 countries. Its global membership has surpassed 60 million users. Suseong Webtoon owns several successful IPs in English-speaking markets, including "Draco-Knight Commander" and "Someone Stop Her!". The company is also actively expanding into secondary content such as video adaptations.

The AI technology collaboration aligns with Suseong Webtoon's strategy to diversify its IP-centered revenue model. By applying generative AI technology to the webtoon production process, the company aims to enhance both production efficiency and quality, while providing an environment where artists can focus more on planning and direction. Suseong Webtoon plans to gradually introduce AI-based tools into its main production lines, simultaneously pursuing shorter production lead times and greater cost efficiency.

NeoEnterDX, the partner company, is an AI-based content production firm with outstanding technological capabilities in the fields of virtual influencers and virtual humans. The company possesses proprietary technology that enables the natural and rapid generation of virtual faces without the need for 3D modeling or scanning real people. Based on this technology, NeoEnterDX owns more than 5,000 types of virtual characters and offers tens of thousands of customization options.

The two companies plan to establish a new AI-based creative ecosystem by developing AI-powered creative tools optimized for webtoon illustration and automating repetitive production processes.
