"Supporting SME Scale-Up"... Ministry of SMEs and Startups Holds Jump-Up Program Launch Ceremony

Comprehensive Three-Year Support for SME Growth
BI Unveiled to Represent Program's Purpose
"A Great Source of Strength for SMEs in Challenging Times"

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 23rd that it held the "Jump-Up Program Launch Ceremony" at the Shilla Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.


The Jump-Up Program is a new initiative launched this year that selects 100 promising small and medium-sized enterprises and provides comprehensive and systematic support for their entry into new businesses and new markets over a period of three years.

The event began with an opening video presenting the background of the program's introduction, the company selection process, future support plans, and vision. This was followed by a plaque presentation ceremony, during which Minister Oh Youngju personally delivered plaques symbolizing the selected companies to five representative firms.


Subsequently, eight policy institutions?including the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT), Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), Korea Development Bank (KDB), Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM), and Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-SURE)?as well as six private operating organizations?including the Federation of Korean Industries, Boston Consulting Group, Samjong KPMG, EY Han Young, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and Advanced Institute of Technology?signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to mutually cooperate for the successful leap forward of the 100 selected promising companies.

The brand identity (BI) representing the purpose and vision of the Jump-Up Program was also unveiled at the event. The BI visually and symbolically encapsulates the image of companies growing dynamically based on bold challenges and innovation.


As part of the side events, a platform was provided for in-depth discussions on directions for entering new businesses and new markets, as well as the necessary support policies. This included matching and consultations between the selected companies and each private operating organization, and guidance on support programs from policy institutions.


Minister Oh Youngju of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated, "Recently, tariff impositions have increased the burden on SMEs seeking to enter the global market. In these challenging times, the Jump-Up Program, which focuses on supporting SMEs' entry into new businesses and new markets and their scale-up efforts, will be a great source of strength." She added, "For the Jump-Up Program, now taking its first step, to firmly establish itself as a solid ladder for corporate growth, the leading roles of all companies and institutions present today are essential. The Ministry will also continue to provide support and make tireless efforts through various policy measures."
