Agreement Ceremony for Activation Model Held Through Public-Private Cooperation
The Odong-dong Community Social Security Council in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, together with the Masan General Welfare Center and the Changwon Welfare Foundation, held an agreement ceremony for the activation model of the eup-myeon-dong Community Social Security Council at the Odong-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
The meeting, held on April 22, was attended by 11 representatives, including Kim Hyungon, Chairperson of the Odong-dong Community Social Security Council, as well as officials from the Changwon Welfare Foundation, Masan General Welfare Center, and Odong-dong Administrative Welfare Center. During the ceremony for the activation model agreement, they engaged in in-depth discussions on strategies for activating the Odong-dong Community Social Security Council in 2025.
In 2024, the Odong-dong Community Social Security Council made significant efforts to create a happy Odong-dong free from solitary deaths, through initiatives such as the Single-Person Household Happiness Kit, Memory-Making Trip to Namhae, Housing Environment Improvement and Disinfection for Households Suspected of Hoarding Disorder, and Picnic to Miryang. Through this agreement ceremony, the Council is expected to play a major role in identifying welfare blind spots in Odong-dong in 2025.
Choi Kyungchul, Co-Chairperson, stated, "As solitary deaths continue to emerge as a persistent social issue, I urge all members to actively participate in the 2025 Odong-dong Community Social Security Council activation project, focus on identifying welfare blind spots, and maintain ongoing activities to create a safer community."
