'ESG and Carbon Neutrality Expo' to Be Held
Supporting Competitiveness Enhancement for Parts Suppliers
Hyundai Motor Company and Kia announced on April 23 that they will co-host the '2025 Automotive Parts Industry ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Carbon Neutrality Expo' together with the Automotive Parts Industry Promotion Foundation.
This expo will be held from April 23 to April 25 at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul. More than 110 companies will participate, including four group affiliates such as Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and Hyundai Motor Securities.
First- and second-tier parts suppliers, as well as raw and subsidiary material partners, will showcase practical technologies and equipment that can be applied in the industry, including inverter-type air compressors for improved energy efficiency, solar and wind power generation facilities, and low-carbon materials.
In addition, the expo will introduce solutions related to industrial safety and security, such as safety monitoring cameras and cyber intrusion response consulting, and will offer a variety of ideas covering all aspects of sustainable management.
In particular, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and public institutions will present support programs to strengthen the ESG and carbon neutrality competitiveness of automotive parts suppliers. The Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning and the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute will introduce participating companies with the latest technologies related to ESG and carbon neutrality at the expo.
A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, "This is a cooperative platform created by companies, public foundations, the government, and public institutions to strengthen the sustainable management competitiveness of the automotive parts industry," and added, "We will provide practical ideas and a variety of solutions that can simultaneously improve profitability through energy reduction and achieve carbon reduction, thereby supporting sustainable management in the automotive parts industry."
