Deepnoid, a leading first-generation medical AI company in South Korea, announced on April 23, 2025, that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the College of Engineering at Yonsei University to strengthen joint research and academic cooperation in the fields of medical imaging and artificial intelligence (AI).
The two institutions promoted this agreement with the aim of establishing a mutually integrated cooperation system and laying the foundation for joint research in the field of medical AI, in order to pursue the development and practical application of future technologies together.
Through the agreement, they plan to collaborate in various areas, including joint research utilizing medical imaging and AI, use of the infrastructure of the Yonsei University Bio-Image Data Research Center, and technology exchange and information sharing.
Choi Woosik, CEO of Deepnoid, stated, "Collaboration with the College of Engineering at Yonsei University, which possesses global research capabilities in medical imaging and AI, will create significant synergy in terms of technological advancement and commercialization," adding, "We will expand the scope of cooperation based on this agreement to contribute to future medical innovation."
Lee Choongyong, Dean of the College of Engineering at Yonsei University, explained, "This agreement is a meaningful step in connecting academic research achievements to the actual industrial field," and emphasized, "We will actively cooperate with Deepnoid to achieve tangible results in the fields of medical imaging and AI, and to contribute to the advancement of future medical technologies."
With this agreement as a starting point, the two parties will establish a close cooperative relationship and gradually promote a variety of projects aimed at sustainable joint growth in the field of medical AI.
