Innobiz Association Supports Innovative SMEs' Entry into the Public Market

Briefing Session Held with the Public Procurement Service

The Innobiz Association announced on the 22nd that it held an "Innovation Procurement Briefing Session to Promote Public Purchase of Innobiz Innovative Products" together with the Public Procurement Service at the Pangyo 2nd Technovalley Enterprise Support Hub Conference Room.

This event was organized as the first follow-up measure to the "Business Agreement to Support the Entry of Technology-Innovative SMEs into the Public Procurement Market," which was signed last month between the Innobiz Association and the Public Procurement Service. More than 50 companies, including Innobiz enterprises and member companies that are either participating in or interested in public procurement, attended the event.

The briefing session provided training on topics such as the public procurement system and bidding eligibility, strategies for entering the procurement market, understanding innovative procurement products, and how to prepare proposals. In addition, one-on-one customized consultations were held for participating companies to address procurement challenges, seeking concrete solutions and practical support measures for various on-site concerns.

The Innobiz Association plans to continue expanding region-specific customized briefing sessions and practical training programs nationwide to further encourage the participation of technology-innovative SMEs in public procurement. Additionally, based on its network of eight regional branches and cooperation with local procurement offices, the association will establish regional public procurement committees and further strengthen procurement collaboration channels for Innobiz enterprises and member companies.

Kim Hyungyoung, Executive Vice President of the Innobiz Association, stated, "Amid a global crisis, the technological capabilities possessed by Innobiz enterprises can become their greatest competitive advantage." He added, "If public procurement, which offers opportunities for stable sales, building corporate trust, and technology verification, is combined, it could become the most ideal solution for not only overcoming crises but also achieving a new level of growth."
