This donation involved each city contributing 4 million won, marking the third consecutive year of such exchanges since their agreement in 2023.
This mutual donation was made possible by the voluntary participation of about 80 public officials from both cities, who sympathized with the goal of "revitalizing our hometown."
With 40 public officials from Gumi City and 40 from Gimcheon City taking part, this initiative is seen as a voluntary effort for regional development, further highlighting the original purpose of the Hometown Love Donation Program.
Kim Hoseop, Deputy Mayor of Gumi City, stated, "I am grateful that public officials have taken the lead to contribute to the local economy," and added, "I hope to see continued active exchanges and cooperation among local governments in the future."
Since signing a joint cooperation agreement for the Hometown Love Donation Program in 2023, Gumi City and Gimcheon City have continued their mutual donations for three consecutive years. Through these efforts, they have expanded interest in the program and further strengthened the cooperative network between the regions.
