Chungnam Provincial Council Appoints Yesan-born Actor Jung Junho as Public Relations Ambassador Actor Jung Junho from Yesan was appointed as the public relations ambassador for the Chungnam Provincial Council.

Actor Jung Junho, who is from Yesan in South Chungcheong Province, has been appointed as the public relations ambassador for the Chungnam Provincial Council.


The Chungnam Provincial Council announced on April 22 that it had appointed actor Jung Junho as its public relations ambassador during a ceremony held at the council's international conference hall in the afternoon. The event was attended by Chairman Hong Sunghyun, standing committee chairs, and representatives of negotiation groups. The appointment aims to raise public interest in legislative activities and strengthen communication with residents of the province.


Jung Junho, who officially began his role as the council's public relations ambassador on this day, debuted in 1995 as part of MBC's 24th class of open recruitment actors. He is a popular actor who has played a wide range of roles in films such as "My Boss, My Hero" and "Marrying the Mafia," as well as dramas like "IRIS" and "SKY Castle," earning much love from the public.


In particular, he has received recognition for his acting abilities, winning awards such as the Popular Culture and Arts Award, a commendation from the Minister of Culture, and the MBC Drama Awards' Male Golden Acting Award. Recently, he has also broadened his reach with active participation in entertainment programs, further expanding his communication with the public.


Jung Junho will serve as the public relations ambassador until April 2027, working to strengthen communication between the council and residents and to enhance the council's stature.


Chairman Hong Sunghyun commented, "The Chungnam Provincial Council has been striving to break away from unnecessary authority and outdated practices, and I hope that our ambassador will help promote these efforts with his characteristic wit and sincerity. I am grateful for the affection you have shown for Chungnam through your broadcasts, and I look forward to your continued activities in the future."


Meanwhile, alongside actor Jung Junho, who was appointed at the ceremony, poet Na Taejoo, actor Min Kyungjin, painter Park Jingyun, singer Yoo Jina, and Gugak prodigy Lee Roha are also serving as public relations ambassadors for the Chungnam Provincial Council.
