"Ground Crew Toto" is the first aviation-themed animation to debut in Korea, inspired by Jeju Airport, which is operated by the corporation. Set in the fictional "Bandal Airport," the series tells the stories of airport workers who play crucial roles in ensuring the safe operation of aircraft, focusing on areas such as the apron, ramp, and runway inside the passenger terminal, which are not usually in the public eye.

The animation features characters such as airplanes, baggage carts, towing vehicles that assist aircraft operations, and snow removal trucks. It will be produced as a 52-episode series, incorporating lessons on communication, cooperation, and consideration to support children's emotional and cognitive development. The project was planned by the creators of "Robocar Poli," a well-known educational animation, and "Leafie, A Hen into the Wild," the most successful animated film in Korea.

The corporation will provide consultation on airport operations and management for the animation, including on-site coverage of air traffic control, firefighting, and ground handling, as well as expert interviews and reviews. In the future, the corporation also plans to collaborate with the production companies on joint promotions, such as airport safety campaigns using the animation's characters.

Lee Jungki, Acting President of Korea Airports Corporation, stated, "Supporting the production of this animation is an opportunity to shine a light on airport workers who fulfill their duties behind the scenes to ensure flight safety. We expect it to foster public understanding and empathy for the airport industry."

"Ground Crew Toto" is scheduled to premiere on Jeongneung TV on May 29.
