Korea Railroad Corporation Gwangju Headquarters announced on the 22nd that it will operate a "Climate Change Week" until the 25th in celebration of "Earth Day."

This year, the Climate Change Week message, "Let's Take Climate Action! Let's Adapt in Our Daily Lives," will be displayed on the electronic board inside the station's waiting room for Earth Day. The initiative aims to encourage all train passengers to practice carbon-neutral lifestyles and strengthen their capacity to adapt, so that everyone can work together to address the climate crisis.

On this day, a lights-off event will also be held for 10 minutes starting at 8 p.m. In addition, employees practiced carbon neutrality by participating in vegan meals, using tumblers, and having Korea Railroad Corporation Gwangju Headquarters' Energy Keepers mutually certify their efforts.

Kim Youngjin, head of the Korea Railroad Corporation Gwangju Headquarters, said, "This has been an opportunity to once again realize that electricity and eating habits we take for granted can have a significant impact on the global environment," adding, "I will take the lead in protecting the Earth through small actions, such as improving eating habits and being mindful even when using a single light bulb."
