Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital announced on April 22 that it will hold a ceremony to celebrate its 21st anniversary.
The anniversary ceremony, which will take place ahead of the hospital's 21st anniversary on April 26, will be attended by Lee Geunbae, Chairman of Chonnam National University Hospital and President of Chonnam National University, Jeong Shin, Director of Chonnam National University Hospital, members of the National Assembly, key executives, staff, and various distinguished guests from both inside and outside the institution. During the ceremony, participants will reflect on the hospital's achievements over the past 21 years and share its future vision.
Since its opening in 2004, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital has shattered the stereotype that "cancer must be treated in Seoul" and has grown into Korea's leading cancer-specialized hospital. The hospital has achieved the distinction of being named one of Newsweek's "World's Best Specialized Hospitals for Cancer" for five consecutive years.
Min Jeongjun, Director of Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital, stated, "For the past 21 years, we have tirelessly fulfilled our mission as a 'hospital specialized in cancer treatment,' taking responsibility for the health not only of local residents but also of the entire nation." He expressed gratitude for the dedication and passion of the hospital's members and the unwavering trust and support from the local community. He added, "We aim to achieve even greater goals, such as becoming the 'center of cancer care and research in Asia' and creating brand value that places us among the world's top 100 cancer hospitals."
