Coway announced on April 22 that Yunhyuk Bang, CEO of its subsidiary Coway Entech, has been awarded the Order of Science and Technology Innovation Medal.
The Order of Science and Technology is a government award presented to individuals who have contributed to the advancement of science and technology. It is divided into five grades: Changjojang, Innovation Medal, Ungbijang, Doyakjang, and Jinbojang.

CEO Bang has worked for 34 years as a specialist in materials research, contributing to the technological independence of core industrial materials. He has also commercialized his research achievements, thereby contributing to increased exports and job creation.
In particular, in March 2021, he was appointed as the first president of the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency, where he was recognized for his significant contributions to the development of Korea's materials convergence industry through various activities such as startup incubation, corporate development, and policy planning.
Since April last year, he has been focusing on developing new materials and original process technologies for commercialization at Coway Entech. Coway Entech provides environmental engineering services, including industrial plant water treatment, urban sewage treatment and reuse, water purification, and industrial wastewater treatment.
