Recognized for Transparency in Information Disclosure
On April 22, SK Networks announced that it has received the 'Leadership A' grade in the climate change response category of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) '2024 ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Ratings by Company' for the second consecutive year.
This year's assessment included 24,800 companies worldwide, and 424 companies, accounting for about 1.7%, received the 'Leadership A' grade. In Korea, 19 companies, including SK Networks, met the criteria.
SK Networks received the highest grade of 'A' in several key areas, including: setting reduction targets based on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi); identifying risk and opportunity factors and establishing a structured evaluation process; formulating a business strategy that integrates climate strategy; and managing Scope 1·2 emissions.
SK Networks plans to continue thoroughly implementing its ESG action plans, which have been recognized as among the best globally, while further strengthening the transparency and reliability of its ESG disclosures.
An SK Networks representative stated, "Receiving the CDP Leadership A grade for two consecutive years proves that our climate management system meets global standards and has practical effectiveness," and added, "We will continue to improve our ESG strategies and implementation plans to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and strive to enhance value for all stakeholders."
