"Preventing Land Boundary Disputes
and Establishing a Foundation for Land Management"
Imsil County in North Jeolla Province will begin full-scale implementation of its cadastral map maintenance project this year to improve the accuracy of spatial information and prevent land boundary disputes.
According to the county on April 22, the project aims to enhance the accuracy of cadastral maps and ensure the currency of cadastral information, thereby supporting the protection of residents' property rights and the efficient management of land.
The cadastral map maintenance project involves precisely correcting and supplementing parcels that require boundary adjustments, such as those with errors in the connection of individual cadastral maps between map frames and administrative districts. The project is expected to help prevent land boundary disputes and establish a foundation for efficient land management.
In particular, by updating cadastral registration details and clarifying land boundaries in areas with discrepancies, the county plans to protect the property rights of landowners and enhance the credibility of public administration.
Shim Min, the county governor, stated, "Providing accurate cadastral information is the foundation for protecting residents' property rights and delivering efficient administrative services. We will implement this project without delay to realize a more reliable cadastral administration service."
