Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Suhyun Kang) announced on April 22 that it has reorganized the festival promotion system and begun full-scale preparations to ensure the successful hosting of the local representative cultural event, the Hoamsaji Royal Festival.

On April 21, Yangju City held the "2025 2nd Yangju City Festival Promotion Committee" meeting in the city hall situation room, launching the 4th Festival Promotion Committee and appointing new executives. During the meeting, appointment certificates were presented to private sector committee members, and Lee Seongsun was elected as co-chairperson, with Bae Daejun as vice-chairperson.
In his greeting, Mayor Suhyun Kang expressed his gratitude to the newly appointed committee members and asked everyone to join forces in their respective roles to create a festival that all citizens can enjoy and remember.
In the second part of the meeting, chaired by Committee Chairperson Jeongmin Kim (Deputy Mayor of Yangju City), a detailed review of the operational plan for the 8th Yangju Hoamsaji Royal Festival was conducted. The schedule and implementation plans for each festival program were discussed, and time was dedicated to concretizing the directions proposed at the previous meeting.
The Yangju Hoamsaji Royal Festival has been selected as a Gyeonggi Representative Tourism Festival for four consecutive years and continues to receive positive external evaluations. This year's event will be held over three days from June 13 to June 15 at the Hoamsaji site.
