Contributions to Policy Advisory and Assistive Device Initiatives for Persons with Disabilities
Nazarene University announced on April 22 that Professor Gong Jinyong from the Department of Rehabilitation Medical Engineering received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in recognition of the 45th Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Professor Gong was recognized for his contributions to policy advisory, research and development, and the expansion of the supply of assistive devices for people with disabilities and others.
He has been leading support for people with disabilities and the elderly through various activities, including serving as the principal investigator for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Assistive Device Commercialization Research and Development Project for People with Disabilities and the Elderly."
Professor Gong Jinyong stated, "I will continue to work for the rehabilitation, independence, and care of people with disabilities and the elderly," adding, "I will make further efforts to enhance the quality of services by integrating science and technology with welfare."
