Celebrating 'Culture Day in April'
The Jeonju City Choir (Artistic Director and Conductor Kim Cheol) announced on April 22 that it will hold the 'Funhan Music School Choir Period 5' performance at 7 p.m. on the 29th at the Deokjin Arts Center to celebrate 'Culture Day in April'.

This performance, which has been specially planned for youth and children, will feature Song Seonggeun, a current teacher at Jeonju National University of Education Jeonju Elementary School, as a guest. Together with Jeonju City Choir's Associate Conductor Choi Hyunwook, they have designed the stage into 'Periods 1 to 5' so that children can feel familiar and comfortable with the performance.
First, in Period 1 (Singing is Fun), songs such as ▲Signal Music (Ahn Hyunsun), ▲The World I Wish For (Yoon Ilsang), and ▲Stop Calling Me, Mom (Jeon Jieun) will be performed. In Period 2 (Opera!opera), the male choir will present famous opera pieces including 'Una furtiva lagrima' from Donizetti's opera.
Next, in Period 3 (Our Story), which features a special appearance by the Pureunsori Ensemble from Gunsan Elementary School attached to Jeonju National University of Education, songs such as ▲Yeolsoemal (Kim Pureun) and ▲Bbeong Bbeong Bbeongtwigi (Kim Youngkyung) will be performed. In Period 4 (Our Story), the female choir will sing songs including ▲Doenjang (Jeong Deokgi) and ▲Song of My Love (Jo Seongeun). The final Period 5 (World Travel with Music) will feature folk songs from various countries, such as ▲Sik sik sibatubanikam (P.Purba).
No Eunyoung, Director of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Jeonju City, said, "This performance prepared by the Jeonju City Choir features an educational and creative program, and we expect it will provide children and youth with an opportunity to become more familiar with music. Through the 'Culture Day' performances held every month by the city, we will continue to strive to provide citizens with even richer cultural benefits."
