Review of 11 Agenda Items Including District Administration Questions and Ordinance Bills
The Gwangju Bukgu Council announced that it will convene its 302nd extraordinary session on April 23, beginning an eight-day legislative schedule that will run through April 30. During this session, the council will review a total of 11 agenda items, including questions regarding the district administration for the first half of 2025, 10 ordinance bills, and one resolution.
The district administration questions will be conducted over two days, from April 24 to 25, with five council members raising inquiries to the executive branch regarding local issues. Topics to be discussed include parking lot policies, the development of a complex shopping mall, transportation issues related to Urban Railway Line 2, efforts to attract a branch of the National Assembly Library, and the management of community sports facilities?various policy improvements directly connected to residents' daily lives will be addressed.
On April 28, the council will conduct agenda reviews by each standing committee and carry out on-site inspections of major project locations, with final decisions to be made at the plenary session on April 30. Chairperson Choi Moosong stated, "Through in-depth discussions, we will develop policy alternatives that contribute to the development of Bukgu and the improvement of residents' quality of life."
