Pohang Scholarship Foundation Receives Continued Scholarship Donations from All Sectors

Warm-hearted donations for scholarships from various sectors continue to support the development of local talent.

Greenbyro (CEO Taeyeon Kim) donated 10 million won, the National State-Owned Forest Ranger Association (President Kwonjung Kim) donated 10 million won, and the POSCO DX Labor Union (Chairman Jaeyeol Lee) and POSCO DX (CEO Minseok Shim) jointly donated 8 million won for scholarships.

Greenbyro donated the scholarship to contribute to nurturing talent by returning corporate profits to society.

Taeyeon Kim, CEO, stated, "I hope this small contribution will help outstanding students from the region not lose their dreams and hopes and grow into excellent talents," and added, "We will continue to do our best to realize social value through various social contribution activities in cooperation with the local community."

The National State-Owned Forest Ranger Association is a forestry function work community established by the Korea Forest Service to carry out various forestry operations such as logging, extraction, and afforestation. In challenging environments and unseen places, they are beautifully cultivating forests for future generations.

This scholarship was donated while carrying out pine wilt disease control projects. In particular, as the damage from pine wilt disease in the Pohang area is severe, the association considered what could be done for Pohang and decided to donate the scholarship for the future generations of Pohang.

Kwonjung Kim, President, said, "The donated scholarship reflects the wishes of our members to serve as a stepping stone for nurturing future generations," and added, "We plan to continue not only with scholarships but also with various social contribution activities in the future."

The POSCO DX Labor Union and POSCO DX contributed to nurturing local talent by donating 6 million won jointly last year and 8 million won this year as scholarships.

Jaeyeol Lee, Chairman, stated, "We decided to donate the scholarship to support and grow together with local talent as members of the local community," and added, "We will continue to pay attention to and support the local community."

Chairman Gangdeok Lee (Mayor of Pohang) expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you for donating such meaningful scholarships for the development of local talent," and added, "We will use them with care to nurture talent in Pohang in the future."
