Jeonnam Hampyeong County announced on April 22 that residents of its sister cities will receive a 50% discount on admission tickets during the 27th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival.
This discount has been introduced to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between sister cities, expand opportunities for festival participation, attract more residents, and revitalize the local economy.
To receive the discount, visitors must present identification (such as a resident registration card or driver's license) at the festival ticket booth. The seven eligible sister cities are: Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province, Namhae County in Gyeongnam Province, Jecheon City in Chungbuk Province, Gangbuk District in Seoul, Yongin Special City in Gyeonggi Province, Haman County in Gyeongnam Province, and Saha District in Busan.
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "This discount benefit has been prepared to provide tangible advantages to residents of our sister cities and to broaden the scope of exchanges and bonds between local governments," adding, "I hope many people will visit the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival and experience the value of nature and ecology."
