KakaoBank Launches 'Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service' in Partnership with Coinone

From 'Real-Time Asset Rankings' to 'Top Searched' and 'Top Buying Momentum' Assets at a Glance

On April 22, KakaoBank announced that it will launch a 'Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service' in partnership with the virtual asset exchange Coinone.

The Virtual Asset Price Inquiry Service is based on a partnership with Coinone and allows users to check real-time virtual asset prices within the KakaoBank app. KakaoBank customers can now compare and analyze a wide range of investment products in the app's 'Investment' menu, from securities firm financial products such as promissory notes, bonds, and RPs to funds and even virtual assets.

In the 'Real-Time Ranking of Assets' section of the service screen, users can view rankings by trading volume, market capitalization, and price increases and decreases. Up to 10 items can be displayed, and by clicking 'View All Rankings,' users can access price information for more assets.

For Coinone's real-time popular assets, additional banners such as 'This is the most searched asset right now!' and 'This is the asset with the strongest buying momentum right now!' are displayed to assist with investment decisions. By selecting 'Invest in Virtual Assets' on the price inquiry screen, users are redirected to the Coinone app to proceed with actual investments.

Coinone's 'Community Service,' which is uniquely offered among domestic exchanges, can also be accessed within the KakaoBank app. In the 'Real-Time Profit and Loss Certification' menu, users can check the rankings of investors who have certified their profit and loss rates on Coinone, up to the top three positions. The 'Popular Posts' section provides access to a variety of posts about virtual asset market information and investment trends.

Key market indicators such as 'Bitcoin Dominance,' which represents the share of Bitcoin's market capitalization in the virtual asset market, and 'Korea BTC Premium,' which shows the Korean Bitcoin premium, can also be checked.

KakaoBank and Coinone plan to continue their cooperation in line with policy changes regarding corporate participation in the virtual asset market. In December of last year, Coinone streamlined its verification process by utilizing the 'KakaoBank Certificate' for customer verification and account linking, marking a successful collaboration between the two companies.

KakaoBank stated, "Based on our partnership with Coinone, we are now able to provide KakaoBank customers with insights related to virtual asset investment," adding, "We will continue our efforts to offer a comprehensive investment platform covering securities firm financial products such as bonds and promissory notes, as well as funds and virtual assets."
