The signing ceremony was held on April 21 at Korean Air's headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, with key figures in attendance, including Woo Ki Hong, Vice Chairman of Korean Air, and Cho Mijin, Secretary General of the UNICEF Korea Committee.

Under this agreement, Korean Air and the UNICEF Korea Committee will jointly launch the "Flight for Better Tomorrow" campaign as early as next month. This campaign is a new type of online donation program that allows travelers to give back while traveling.

Korean Air planned this campaign as part of its efforts to fulfill its newly announced corporate mission, which was introduced alongside its new corporate identity (CI). The campaign falls under the "Better Tomorrow" pillar, one of the three missions, and represents social contribution activities that promote active global exchange and sustainable development.

Donations can be made through the Korean Air website. After purchasing a ticket on the website, users can click the campaign banner displayed on the screen to be directed to the donation page, where they can follow the instructions to make an online donation. Even without purchasing a ticket, users can access the donation page by clicking the campaign logo at the bottom of the homepage.

All funds raised will be used to support UNICEF's Core Resource program, which assists children around the world in areas such as survival, protection, development, and participation. Through this program, UNICEF has provided water purification tablets, school supplies, therapeutic food for malnutrition, and polio vaccines to children in developing countries.

Korean Air and the UNICEF Korea Committee also plan to release a campaign promotional video featuring singer Lee Moonse, who participated as a talent donor. A Korean Air representative stated, "The two organizations have signed a social contribution agreement based on mutual respect and trust to support a better tomorrow for children worldwide," adding, "We will actively cooperate going forward to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and practice environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management."
