KINTEX is the largest exhibition and convention center in South Korea, and serves as a major hub in Goyang Special City, bustling with people and vehicles from all over the country who come to participate in various exhibitions held there.

The newly installed KINTEX fast charging station, established as part of the Ministry of Environment’s regional brand project, consists of 23 fast chargers: four 200kW dual chargers and nineteen 100kW chargers. This allows up to 46 electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously, making it the largest electric vehicle charging station in the country.

For a standard electric vehicle battery with a capacity of 77.4kWh, a 200kW charger can fully recharge it in about 20 minutes, while a 100kW charger takes about 40 minutes. Drivers can also take advantage of one hour of free parking, allowing them to use the fast charging service without worrying about parking fees. The station is conveniently available for those visiting KINTEX for exhibitions or simply for charging their vehicles.

The fast charging fee is set at 320 won per kWh, offering an attractive price point for electric vehicle owners.

Meanwhile, the city is making continuous efforts to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure for residents, having installed a total of 167 fast chargers at 36 locations throughout the city, in addition to KINTEX.

Mayor Lee Donghwan attended the opening ceremony and stated, "We will continue to expand infrastructure such as fast charging stations to enhance convenience for electric vehicle users, and strive to make Goyang a city free of fine dust by promoting the continued adoption of eco-friendly vehicles."
