25-ton Tanker Truck Collides with Box Truck on Namhae Expressway in Jinju, Injuring Two

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on April 21, a 25-ton tanker truck rear-ended a 14-ton box truck ahead of it near Jinju 2 Tunnel on the Namhae Expressway in the direction of Suncheon, in Jinseong-myeon, Jinju, Gyeongnam.

As a result of the accident, the tanker truck driver, a man in his 60s identified as A, and the box truck driver, a man in his 30s identified as B, were each injured and transported to the hospital.

Police believe the tanker truck collided with the rear of the box truck while driving uphill in the fourth lane, due to the tanker truck driver falling asleep at the wheel. Authorities are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
