Deposit 100,000 Won Per Month for Three Years
Receive 7.2 Million Won Plus Interest
Yeongam County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Woo Seunghee), announced on April 21 that it will be accepting applications for the "2025 Yeongam County Youth Hope Didimdol Savings Account Program" until May 2.
According to the county, this program is designed to help young people working in the region build their assets. If a participant deposits 100,000 won each month, Yeongam County will match that amount, allowing the participant to receive a total of 7.2 million won plus interest after three years, when the account matures.
This program is open to all Yeongam County residents aged 18 to 49. It consists of two categories: the "Jeonnam-type" with 36 spots and the "Yeongam-type" with 55 spots. Duplicate applications are not allowed, so applicants should carefully review the eligibility requirements in advance. In particular, the "Jeonnam-type" category is open to young people who run their own businesses, but excludes those already participating in similar asset-building programs, as well as public officials and those serving in the military.
Applications can be submitted in person or by registered mail at the local administrative welfare center in the applicant’s area of residence. For more detailed information about the Youth Hope Didimdol Savings Account Program, applicants can contact the Youth Support Team at the Yeongam County Population and Youth Division.
Kim Sunmi, head of the Population and Youth Division, stated, "We will ensure that the Youth Hope Didimdol Savings Account contributes to asset building for working young people."
