KB Financial Group Selects Dayeon Lee as Winner of 'KB Star Award' at Gallery Art Festival

KB Financial Group announced on April 21 that it had selected artist Dayeon Lee as the recipient of the 'KB Star Award' at the '2025 Gallery Art Festival Special Exhibition,' which concluded on April 20.

Dayeon Lee is an emerging artist who depicts the small special moments and simple happiness found in repetitive daily life through warm and comforting works. The award winner will be given the opportunity to collaborate on the production of calendars distributed by major KB affiliates, including KB Kookmin Bank, as well as participate in various special exhibitions. Dayeon Lee will also take part in producing the KB Financial Group calendar for 2027.

Celebrating its 43rd edition this year, the Gallery Art Festival is the oldest art fair in Korea. This year's festival attracted approximately 60,000 visitors, the largest number in its history. In particular, the special exhibition for emerging artists, 'ZOOM-IN Edition 6,' now in its sixth year, selected 10 young artists and introduced them to the public.

Following its role as lead partner of 'Kiaf SEOUL 2024' last year, KB Financial Group also participated as the official partner for the special exhibition for emerging artists at the Gallery Art Festival. The company established the 'KB Star Award' to discover and support talented new artists, and set up a separate exhibition space called 'KB Hall,' where it hosted the 'KB X Dayeon Lee·Bongmin Sim Emerging Artists Special Exhibition.'
