HiteJinro Launches Sparkling Beer "Filite Clear"..."Achieves Ultimate Clean Finish"

HiteJinro announced on April 21 that it will launch a new lineup, "Filite Clear," under its sparkling beer brand "Filite," on April 25.

This new product is characterized by its clean and refreshing taste, which is intuitively expressed in its name "Clear." The package design uses silver to convey a transparent and refreshing image, while blue represents a clean finish. To differentiate the product, the design omits the "Filly" character and instead features the "Saeng (Fresh)" label, emphasizing the product's inherent qualities. Filite Clear has an alcohol content of 4.5% and will be sold in cans (350ml, 450ml, 500ml) and PET bottles (1.6L) at major supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide.


According to the company, this product also applies HiteJinro's Super Clear brewing method, which overcomes the limitations of sparkling beer. Sparkling beer with less than 10% malt content is made using non-malt ingredients such as barley and starch, which go through blending, fermentation, and filtration processes. Generally, barley, the main ingredient in sparkling beer, has a lower degree of fermentation compared to malt, making it difficult to maximize fermentation. However, HiteJinro has achieved a high degree of fermentation comparable to regular beer through its proprietary know-how. In addition, the company has completed a high-quality sparkling beer with a clean finish and refreshing taste by precisely adjusting the amount of enzymes that maximize barley fermentation and the ratio of main ingredients through hundreds of repeated processes. This minimizes off-flavors in the wort, even with a low malt ratio.


Oh Sungtaek, Executive Director of Marketing at HiteJinro, stated, "To ensure the successful market launch of Filite Clear, we will focus on increasing brand awareness through TV commercials and online activities starting from the release date." He added, "We will continue to introduce products that reflect consumer needs and market trends, and strive to not only maintain our leading position in the sparkling beer market but also directly compete with regular beers."
