The residents' representative of the Jangwi 8 District public redevelopment project approved the selection of Samsung C&T as the final contractor at the general meeting held on April 19.

The Jangwi 8 District public redevelopment project will be carried out on a 121,634 square meter site at 85 Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. The plan includes a total of 21 buildings ranging from three basement levels to 46 above-ground floors, 2,801 residential units, and various community facilities. Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation (SH) is participating as the project developer, and the construction cost is estimated at 1.1945 trillion won.

The Jangwi 8 District public redevelopment site is within a 15-minute walk of Gwangwoon University Station on Subway Line 1, which is part of the planned GTX-C line, and Dolgoji Station on Subway Line 6. It is also close to Janggok Elementary School, Jangwi Elementary School, Gwangwoon Middle School, and Namdaemun Middle School. The nearby Ui Stream, Odong Neighborhood Park, and Bukseoul Dream Forest provide a pleasant natural environment with well-established green infrastructure.

Samsung C&T proposed 'Raemian Trigent (RAEMIANTRIZENT)' as the new name for the complex. The name combines 'Trinity' and the German word 'Zentrum' (center). It reflects the intention to create a new center in Jangwi, where three landmark towers of the highest floors in the area, along with culture, nature, and community, come together.

At the heart of the complex, three landmark towers, each 150 meters tall?the tallest in Jangwi New Town?will be placed. The design features an open landscape and an organic skyline, with a unique architectural concept flowing along the vertical sidewall facade. The residential buildings reinterpret the eaves of a Hanok in a modern way.

The three Sky Communities in the landmark towers will include a healing lounge with panoramic views of Gangbuk, a guesthouse, and more. The first 100-meter-long panoramic skywalk in Gangbuk will offer residents a relaxing space to enjoy views of the Kim Jinheung House, a Seoul cultural heritage site, and the surrounding neighborhood parks.

Samsung C&T reduced the number of buildings in the original redevelopment plan from 31 to 21, securing wider distances between buildings and arranging all units to face south for a more pleasant residential environment. Of the total 2,801 units, approximately 47% (1,318 units) are designed to offer views of Bukhansan, Achasan, and Suraksan mountains. All 1,277 owners will be able to enjoy premium natural views.

The complex will feature the largest community facilities in Gangbuk, spanning 4,510 pyeong (14,909 square meters) and offering 88 programs, including a multipurpose gymnasium, swimming pool, and book cafe. There will also be super-sized landscaping facilities covering a total of 10,800 pyeong (35,702 square meters), including a central plaza, walking trails, and a piloti garden that captures the four seasons of Bukhansan.

Kim Myungseok, Executive Vice President and Head of the Housing Business Division at Samsung C&T, stated, "We will create a luxury apartment complex that will become a new landmark in the Jangwi area, rewarding owners with the utmost pride and value."

Samsung C&T previously won contracts for Jangwi Districts 1 and 5, completed in 2020 and 2021, and has now secured the contract for District 8. The company also plans to accelerate efforts to win additional large-scale redevelopment projects expected to be commissioned in Nowon-gu, such as the reconstruction of Wolgye Siyoeng Apartments and new public redevelopment projects.
