Shinhan and Hope Bridge Join Forces for Wildfire Victims
Donations Raised by 741 Shinhan Cooperatives and Employees Delivered to Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association

The Shinhan Social Contribution Foundation announced on the 21st that it had delivered a total of 760 million won in donations, raised for the recovery of wildfire damage in the Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan regions, to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 18th.
This donation is part of the 1 billion won in wildfire relief funds voluntarily raised by 741 Shinhan cooperatives nationwide, as well as Shinhan and central association executives, employees, and members. On this day, the two organizations held a donation ceremony at the Hope Bridge Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, and shared their commitment to solidarity.
The ceremony was attended by Song Pilho, President of the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, and other officials. Park Kyuhui, Head of the Shinhan Social Contribution Foundation, attended on behalf of Chairman Kim Yunsik.
In addition to the 760 million won in donations, Shinhan also delivered emergency relief supplies worth 40 million won directly to the affected areas. The organization also supported the daily recovery of disaster victims by engaging in volunteer activities. Approximately 200 million won will be used to support the restoration and livelihoods of residents in the affected regions.
Park Kyuhui stated, "As a financial cooperative for local communities and neighbors, Shinhan is continuing to provide practical support by gathering the warm hearts of members nationwide," adding, "We will continue to listen to the difficulties of the people on the ground and put into practice the value of togetherness."
Song Pilho, President of the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, said, "We are deeply grateful for Shinhan's meaningful sharing," and added, "Hope Bridge will do its utmost to support the swift recovery of residents in the affected areas and to carry out relief activities on site, in line with the intentions of the donors."
Since 2019, Shinhan and Hope Bridge have been cooperating to help South Korea overcome crises. Going forward, they plan to further strengthen the disaster response system and expand their collaborative network for prompt and practical support.
