Up to 20% Discounts on Essential Daily Services
Time-Based and Category-Specific Benefits with Shinhan Card Discount Plans
On April 21, Shinhan Card announced the launch of the "Shinhan Card Discount Plan" and "Shinhan Card Discount Plan Plus (+)," which offer discounts of up to 20% tailored to customers' spending schedules.
The Shinhan Card Discount Plan provides time-based discount services in the food and beverage (F&B) sector. From 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., customers receive a 10% discount at restaurants and cafes. From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., a 10% discount is applied when using convenience stores or delivery applications.
The service also offers "Daily Plan" discounts across shopping, transportation, and lifestyle categories. In the shopping category, a 10% discount is provided at supermarkets (such as E-Mart and Lotte Mart), online shopping platforms (such as Naver Plus Store and Coupang), and general merchandise stores (such as Olive Young and Daiso). For transportation, a 5% discount is available at gas stations (SK Energy, GS Caltex, etc.), car-sharing services (SoCar), and taxis (including the KakaoT taxi service). In the lifestyle category, a 5% discount is offered for overseas single payments, hospitals and pharmacies, beauty salons, and online bookstores (such as Kyobo Bookstore and YES24).
The "Plan Day" service applies double the regular discount rate to the first discounted transaction on the first day of every month. This benefit can be used once each for the Time Plan and Daily Plan services.
The "Monthly Plan" service covers recurring monthly payments, digital subscriptions, and membership discounts. A 10% discount is applied to utility bills such as apartment maintenance fees, city gas, electricity, and telecommunications. Digital subscriptions, including Netflix and YouTube Premium, as well as memberships like Naver Plus Membership and Coupang Wow Membership, receive a 20% discount. In addition, a 5,000 KRW discount on movie ticket reservations is offered once per month.
An annual discount service, the "Annual Plan," is also available for car maintenance and theme park visits. Discounts are provided for engine oil changes and car maintenance services at Speedmate. Admission discounts are also available for Everland, Lotte World free passes, and Caribbean Bay tickets.
For the Shinhan Card Discount Plan, customers who spend between 400,000 KRW and less than 800,000 KRW in the previous month receive a 23,000 KRW discount. Those who spend between 800,000 KRW and less than 1,200,000 KRW receive a 42,000 KRW discount, and those who spend 1,200,000 KRW or more receive a 60,000 KRW discount. The annual fee is 15,000 KRW for both domestic-only and international (MasterCard) options.
The Shinhan Card Discount Plan+ adds a 10% discount at premium outlets and a 5% parking discount to the Daily Plan service. The monthly discount service is also expanded to include a 5% discount in the fitness category (sports centers, tennis courts, golf courses) and a reward cashback of up to 5,000 KRW.
Customers can also use a grocery shopping service that provides a 30,000 KRW refund once per year when spending 30,000 KRW or more at supermarkets.
The Shinhan Card Discount Plan+ offers discounts of up to 100,000 KRW per month depending on the previous month's spending. Platinum services such as hotel valet parking and free airport lounge access are also included. The annual fee is 50,000 KRW for both domestic-only and international (Master Platinum) cards.
