Starting with Incheon in September 2023, followed by Suwon, Gyeonggi Province in October last year, Shinhan Bank has now expanded its digital finance education platform nationwide by opening 'Shinhan Hakijae' in Busan. 'Hakijae' is inspired by the first chapter of the Analects of Confucius, which states, "Is it not a pleasure to learn and to practice what you have learned from time to time?" and embodies the value of learning.
Shinhan Hakijae Busan is designed to help people naturally acquire essential digital finance skills. It features a digital finance device experience zone that replicates a bank branch environment, easy-to-understand content to aid visual comprehension, and a customized curriculum tailored to the learning characteristics of individuals with developmental disabilities.
In addition, education is provided in connection with the financial fraud prevention platform 'Shinhan Jikyeoyo', enabling customers to assess risks on their own. The center will also serve as a space for the Shinhan Children's Finance Experience Class, providing opportunities for early financial education.
Jung Sanghyuk, President of Shinhan Bank, stated, "As this is a space that anyone can use easily and conveniently, I hope it will become a beloved place for many Busan citizens," adding, "We will continue to consider the role that financial institutions should play in the community and do our utmost to ensure that everyone can use financial services safely."
