20 Artworks to Be Exhibited from April to December
Four Geumcheon Culture and Arts Governance Organizations to Participate
Geumcheon District (District Mayor Yoo Sung-hoon) announced that from April to December, works by local artists will be exhibited at Hannae Dalbit Art Bridge (770-4 Doksan-dong).
The exhibition was organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Geumcheon District and to transform everyday spaces used by residents into venues for culture and the arts.
Four organizations from the visual arts sector of the Geumcheon Culture and Arts Governance will participate: the Geumcheon Literary Association, Geumcheon Fine Arts Association, Geumcheon Calligraphers Association, and the Geumcheon Branch of the Korea Photographers Association. Each organization will present five works, for a total of 20 pieces on display.
The works will be exhibited along the glass railings of Hannae Dalbit Art Bridge, divided into four sections on the left and right sides, and will be rotated every six months. The pieces will be displayed in dustproof and waterproof frames and equipped with LED lighting, allowing residents to view the artworks even at night.
A district official stated, "We expect to provide residents and visitors with new artistic experiences and to promote cultural communication with local artists."
Yoo Sung-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon District, said, "We will continue to support a variety of cultural and artistic opportunities so that Geumcheon can establish itself as a cultural city that grows together with the arts."
'Hannae Dalbit Art Bridge' is a name inspired by 'Mancheon Myeongwol,' meaning 'the bright moon fills the sky,' and reflects the intention to offer warm comfort to everyone like moonlight. The district plans to activate Hannae Dalbit Art Bridge as a space where all residents can become protagonists in enjoying culture.
