Andong City in North Gyeongsang Province is launching a special promotion to revitalize tourism and support economic recovery in areas affected by wildfires.

Andong City announced that from April 14 to May 31, it will hold the "Hope Travel Promotion" for five special disaster areas impacted by wildfires, through the online travel platform "GB VOYAGE (Gyeongbuk Bwayaji)."

This promotion aims to stimulate tourism demand in regions damaged by wildfires and inject vitality into the stagnant local economy. Travelers can receive up to a 40% discount in four categories: accommodation, experiences, restaurants, and shopping.

A total of 326 products are eligible for discounts, including major tourist attractions such as Hahoe Village, Jutopium, Dosan Seowon, and the Trick Art Exhibition Hall.

Additionally, 33 travel packages that combine accommodation and cafes, 249 lodging options, 30 restaurants, 13 experience programs, and 1 shopping product are also included in the discount offerings.

An official from Andong City stated, "This promotion will serve as an important opportunity to help the economic recovery of regions struggling due to disaster and to promote the revitalization of the local tourism industry. In particular, it will provide travelers with high-quality tourism experiences at reasonable prices."

Meanwhile, through this promotion, tourist attractions and accommodations in Andong and the northern Gyeongbuk region are expected to offer benefits to many visitors and contribute to the reconstruction of the local economy.
