The Gwangyang Jangdo Transmission Education Center, directed by Park Jonggun, has preserved the deep history and delicate craftsmanship of Gwangyang Jangdo for three generations. It features an exhibition space displaying various types of Jangdo and operates a workshop where visitors can witness the living techniques of Jangdo-making firsthand.

The public demonstration held here aims to broaden the public's understanding of the traditional craft of Jangdo and to convey the value of traditional skills to future generations. The event is free of charge and offers visitors the opportunity to observe and experience the entire process of Jangdo-making in person.

During the event, the Jangdo workshop will be open to the public, with live demonstrations of Jangdo-making held daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The program includes tours of both the workshop and the exhibition hall, with Park Jonggun and his apprentices participating in the live demonstrations.

Director Park Jonggun said, "While preparing for this event, I deeply reflected on the teachings of my late father, the first-generation Jangdojang, who emphasized that a craftsman must put his soul and whole heart into making Jangdo," and added, "I ask for the citizens' interest and active participation."

Kim Myungdeok, head of the Culture and Arts Department of Gwangyang City, stated, "This public demonstration is an opportunity to shed new light on the artistic value of Jangdo, which embodies the dedication and skill of master artisans. I hope many people will take an interest in this event, where they can closely experience the rarely seen process of Jangdo-making and appreciate the beauty created by skilled hands." He added, "Gwangyang City will continue to make every effort to widely promote the value of traditional skills."
