Ahn Dogul, a member of the Democratic Party (representing Gwangju Dongnam-eul and Senior Vice Chair of the Future Economic Growth Strategy Committee), has begun earnest efforts to establish core pledges that will outline a future vision and growth strategy for the national economy ahead of the 22nd early presidential election.
On April 16 and 17, Representative Ahn held a series of subcommittee meetings over two days, covering five strategic areas: ▲Future Growth Vision ▲Future Innovative Industries ▲Financial Innovation ▲K-Defense Industry ▲Diplomacy and Trade. Each session focused on discussing the key agendas and ways to incorporate them into policy pledges.
Representative Ahn emphasized the significance of these strategy meetings, noting that they produced concrete action plans based on the policy tasks previously debated and reviewed by each subcommittee, thereby leading to tangible outcomes.
During the subcommittee sessions, major growth engine projects were discussed in depth to secure new drivers of economic growth for South Korea through the new national vision, the K-Initiative, as mentioned by former party leader Lee Jaemyung. The discussions centered on areas such as ▲the artificial intelligence industry ▲K-defense ▲financial innovation ▲diplomacy and trade strategies in response to tariff wars.
Representative Ahn stated, "As a party prepared to govern, the Democratic Party has a duty to take responsibility for the renewed leap of the national economy," adding, "We will build a new Korea together with the people."
