Gala Concert and Cultural Arts Experiences

On the 26th of this month, a 'Car-Free Street' event will take place in Daehak-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Munheon) announced on the 18th that from noon to 6 p.m. on that day, the event titled "Come Play, Daehak-ro! To the Car-Free Street" will be held along the main road in the center of Daehak-ro. The event, themed "Save it on My Phone!, Playlist IN Daehak-ro," will be held from Exit 1 of Hyehwa Station to a point 350 meters from the entrance of Seoul National University Hospital.

The highlight of the event, the "Music Number Gala Concert," can be enjoyed at the Main and Green Stages (from in front of Marronnier Park to near Exits 2 and 3 of Hyehwa Station). A total of 15 performances will be held, along with interviews with actors.

The "Performance Free Zone," where citizens and artists can participate together, will be operated at the Busking Stage (near Exit 1 of Hyehwa Station). It consists of "Voice Daehak-ro (Open Mic Karaoke)," where the audience can participate spontaneously, the "Audition Challenge," showcasing the passion of students from local practical music departments, and "Free Busking Performances."

Various side and experiential events will also be held. At the "Art Boutique," local artists will exhibit and offer experiences and sales of works such as leather crafts, personal color diagnosis, handmade perfumes and soaps, and pottery. "Daldidan Daehak-ro," involving nearby merchants, will be set up as a dessert cafe and resting area. At the "Flower Gallery," visitors can learn about home decoration items recommended by experts.

Meanwhile, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the same day, vehicle traffic will be restricted from Exit 1 of Hyehwa Station to the East Gate of Seoul National University Hospital.
