Buyeo County in Chungnam announced on the 18th that it will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Buyeo General Industrial Complex' in the Jeongdong-ri area of Hongsan-myeon on the 25th.
This marks the first industrial complex in Buyeo County and is the official first step toward securing the region's future growth engine.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be attended by officials from Chungnam Province, members of the National Assembly, representatives from related organizations and companies, as well as local residents.
The Buyeo General Industrial Complex is a large-scale project with a total area of 463,134 square meters and an investment of approximately 106.1 billion won. It aims to foster strategic and general manufacturing industries such as food, chemicals, and metal processing.
Site development, access roads, and infrastructure such as public wastewater treatment facilities will be constructed simultaneously, with completion targeted for 2028.
An official from the county stated, "This groundbreaking is more than just the start of construction; it will serve as a turning point for Buyeo County to emerge as a sustainable industrial hub."
Meanwhile, the Buyeo General Industrial Complex is garnering attention as a key base for fostering future industries and creating local jobs in connection with the Secondary Battery Opportunity Development Zone.
