Business Agreement Signed with COEX
The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team, affiliated with the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), announced on the 18th that it will support smart manufacturing supply companies wishing to enter the Vietnamese market to participate in the '2nd Vietnam Smart Factory Expo.'
The '2nd Vietnam Smart Factory Expo,' held for three days from August 27 to 29 at the Binh Duong Trade Center Exhibition Hall in Vietnam, aims to lay the foundation for domestic supply companies to enter the Vietnamese smart factory construction market and secure export opportunities through participation support.
Last year, the Promotion Team supported 37 domestic smart manufacturing supply companies that participated in the Vietnam Smart Factory Expo with up to 3.5 million KRW each, resulting in contract achievements totaling 5.9 million USD. This year, the support amount has been increased, and up to 5 million KRW will be provided to 30 excellent supply companies willing to enter the Vietnamese market to cover exhibition participation costs.
The Promotion Team signed a business agreement with COEX, the expo organizer, to lead participating companies to successful entry into the Vietnamese market and to strive for tangible results.
Director Ahn Kwang-hyun said, "As Vietnam emerges as a major production base in the global manufacturing industry, demand for smart manufacturing is expected to increase significantly," adding, "Through this support, domestic supply companies with experience and capabilities in building more than 30,000 smart factories across various manufacturing sectors will have the opportunity to demonstrate outstanding technological competitiveness in the Vietnamese market."
