Girls' Generation member Taeyeon (real name Kim Taeyeon)'s concert in Japan was canceled due to equipment issues.

Agency SM Entertainment announced on the 17th through its official Japanese website that Taeyeon's solo debut 10th anniversary concert, "The TENSE," scheduled to be held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on the 19th and 20th, has been canceled.

SM stated, "The equipment used during the Asia tour is being transported to Japan, but it has not yet arrived, and it is difficult to prepare sufficiently for the performance at this point."

They added, "After repeated consultations with relevant authorities and exploring possible solutions, we judged that it would be difficult to hold the concert in a complete state, leading to the decision to cancel the performance." They also expressed, "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to those who were looking forward to the concert."

SM is also considering the possibility of a replacement performance. "We will provide further announcements as soon as decisions are made," they said.

Taeyeon began her Asia tour last month with a performance at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. She has completed concerts in Taipei, Taiwan; Manila, Philippines; and Jakarta, Indonesia, while the Tokyo, Japan concert was canceled. The tour will continue in Macau, Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
