Nongshim Employees Hold Group Blood Donation for Pediatric Leukemia Cancer Patients

On the 18th, Nongshim announced that it will carry out a blood donation campaign at its headquarters in Shindaebang-dong, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, as well as at its factories nationwide in Anyang, Anseong, Asan, Gumi, Busan, and Noksan until the 25th. Approximately 250 Nongshim employees are expected to participate in the blood donation, and the blood donation certificates will be delivered to children with leukemia and pediatric cancer who require transfusions during their treatment process through the Korea Leukemia Pediatric Cancer Association.

This blood donation is part of Nongshim's support activities for children with leukemia and pediatric cancer, which have continued for eight years this year. Since 2018, Nongshim has been providing Baeksansu water monthly so that patients, whose immune systems are weak and who have difficulty choosing drinking water, can drink safely. The cumulative donation amount to date is about 1.5 million bottles.

In addition, Nongshim conducts various sponsorship projects such as a drawing contest filled with the dreams and hopes of patients in celebration of World Pediatric Cancer Day (February 15), the Simsim Campaign encouraging PET bottle recycling and donations together, and the Simsim Kit, which delivers gifts on patients' birthdays and bone marrow transplant anniversaries.

A Nongshim official said, "We will continue to carry out various activities to deliver warm love to children with pediatric cancer who are going through difficulties."
