Incheon City has selected 100 individuals as the '2025 Global Incheon Bay (IN1000만) Ambassadors' who will serve as promotional ambassadors to showcase the charm of Incheon to the world.
The 'Incheon Bay Ambassadors' will engage in activities until the end of the year to convey the vivid stories of Incheon, which is advancing as a global city of 10 million people alongside 3 million Incheon citizens and 7.5 million overseas Koreans, both domestically and internationally.
Last year, the city selected 100 ambassadors solely from Incheon citizens, but this time it included 60 foreigners from 23 different nationalities. Most of them are international students, workers, and migrant women residing in Incheon.
The ambassadors plan to promote Incheon by creating various content such as promotional videos and card news introducing Incheon and posting them on social networking services (SNS). The city will provide opportunities to tour major local facilities so that they can discover diverse promotional materials.
Additionally, the city will hold subgroup meetings to discuss various topics such as improving living conditions for foreigners, discovering certified photo spots in Incheon, and the development direction of the global city Incheon, to gather diverse perspectives and ideas from the ambassadors.
Furthermore, at the end of the year, the city will compile the ambassadors' online and offline activities into an 'e-activity book' to share the achievements externally, and award certificates of commendation to outstanding ambassadors who create innovative content and actively promote Incheon.
An official from Incheon City stated, "Through the activities of ambassadors of various nationalities, we will deliver vivid stories filled with the dynamism and diversity of Incheon to all corners of the world."
