The 'Gyeonggi Special Education Supporters' were selected through an open recruitment process to cultivate policy experts in the field and to discover policies that students and parents can directly experience, and they will be active in a total of eight specialized areas.

About 100 people, including Superintendent Lim, teachers and parents from kindergarten, elementary, middle, high, and special schools, education administration staff, and organization representatives, attended the inauguration ceremony held at the Northern Office on the 17th.

At the inauguration ceremony, the following were shared: ▲appointment certificates awarded to representatives of each supporter field ▲greeting speech by Superintendent Lim Tae-hee ▲progress and achievements of the three-year plan to revitalize Gyeonggi special education ▲roles and operation plans of the supporters.

Additionally, groups were formed by the eight major policy areas of special education, such as universal design for education policy and operation of special schools like Neulbom School, to discuss and actively deliberate on the direction of the supporters' activities. Superintendent Lim also participated in the subgroup discussions, listened to the opinions of supporters and special education stakeholders, and promised necessary support.

In his greeting, Superintendent Lim Tae-hee said, "I express my respect to everyone participating in the activities of the Gyeonggi Special Education Supporters 'With Us'." He added, "Whatever the task, the fact that we do it together is a very important value."

He continued by sharing past experiences of running in line together and completing a difficult race, emphasizing, "No matter how hard the challenge, if we are together, we can overcome it without anyone falling behind."

Superintendent Lim expressed his gratitude, saying, "All the supporters gathered here today must have come with the same heart to be together," and "With your strength, even those with disabilities can overcome challenges, and I believe that the 'education where no one is left out' that Gyeonggi education aims for will become possible."

Meanwhile, the Provincial Office of Education is strengthening customized education not only to support school-age students through special education but also in professional areas for workplace life and social adaptation after graduation. To this end, it plans to enhance policy implementation by strengthening organic cooperation among departments within the office and actively propose policy and system improvements to the central government to resolve manpower issues such as increasing the number of special education teachers.
