Exclusive Launch of Small Pack Wines for Outings at Emart
Emart announced on the 18th that it will hold special discount events on food items such as beef for grilling, pork belly, and imported beer to welcome the full-fledged spring camping and outing season.
From the 18th to the 20th, Emart will hold a "3-Day Final Price" event, offering "Australian Darling Down Wagyu Ribeye (chilled)" at a special price of 1,970 KRW per 100g. Anticipating increased demand for camping and outing food with the arrival of spring weather, the popular Australian Darling Down Wagyu ribeye was selected as the representative discounted item and planned at a super special price. Approximately 60 tons of stock have been prepared for the 3-day event, about 10 times the usual sales volume on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The price is set at less than half of the usual selling price and is cheaper than the average retail price of domestic pork belly (100g) at 2,479 KRW, according to the Livestock Products Quality Evaluation Institute's livestock distribution information.
Additionally, for one week until the 24th, all Australian Darling Down Wagyu items (100g, chilled) will be sold at a 40% discount when Shinsegae points are accumulated. Imported pork belly and neck meat will also be offered at a super special price of 990 KRW per 100g. Imported pork belly and neck meat (100g, chilled) will be sold at 990 KRW until the 20th, while essential ingredients like zucchini will be sold at 890 KRW each, and bananas, convenient for camping or outings, will be offered at a special price of 980 KRW per bunch.
From the 18th to the 30th, a "Beer Discount Event" will be held, offering prices up to about 40% cheaper. The representative event includes nine popular imported beer products (500ml) such as "Pilsner Urquell," "Paulaner," and "Asahi," available at 15,600 KRW for 8 cans and 13,800 KRW for 6 cans. Considering the single can price of 3,300 KRW for 500ml, buying 8 cans is about 40% cheaper.
New small-sized wines that are easy to carry for outings or camping have also been released. Keeping up with the popular trend of small-sized wines, from the 18th, Emart exclusively offers 500ml small-sized pack wines "Santa Helena Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay (500ml, Chile)" using Tetra Pak (paper material) to enhance portability and convenience at 4,900 KRW. Until the 30th, small-sized wines "Castel Rochet Majet Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon (250ml each)" will be sold at a 50% discount when purchasing two or more bottles, and seven types of "Yellow Tail and Barefoot (187ml)" will be available at a 40% discount when purchasing two or more bottles.
Jung Woo-jin, Emart's marketing manager, said, "To welcome the full-fledged spring camping and outing season, we have prepared massive discount benefits from beef for grilling and pork belly to beer," adding, "We will continue to plan various discount events to ease the burden of grocery prices amid high inflation."
