The Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 Class, in which Kumho Tire is competing, is the top category in the O-NE Superrace Championship and is considered the premier stock car racing event in Korea. The fierce competition among high-speed, high-power vehicles delivers excitement every season and has consistently attracted great interest from motorsport fans.

Since its establishment by Kumho Tire in 2014, the SL Motorsport Team has been a leading racing team in Korean motorsports. Until 2023, the team competed as the Ecsta Racing Team in the CJ Superrace Super 6000 Class, achieving many accomplishments.

In particular, during the 2023 season, the team secured a double podium finish in the opening race and dominated throughout the season, winning both the drivers' and team championships. This year, Kumho SL Motorsport has signed a team title sponsorship contract with Kumho Tire and will compete under the official team name 'Kumho SL Motorsport' starting from the new season.

For this season, Kumho SL Motorsport has formed a stronger lineup by bringing in skilled drivers Lee Changwook and Noh Dongki. Driver Noh Dongki competed for the Ecsta Racing Team during the 2020 and 2021 seasons and finished third overall in the 2021 CJ Logistics Superrace Super 6000 Class.

Driver Lee Changwook was the runner-up in the 2023 Super 6000 Class, playing a key role in ushering in a new generation in Korean motorsports.

Additionally, Kumho SL Motorsport vehicles will be equipped with Kumho Tire's 'ECSTA S700,' which provides excellent grip and stable handling at high speeds, and the 'ECSTA W701,' which delivers robust performance and stability even on wet roads. These tire performances offer significant competitive advantages in races and will play a crucial role in the team's pursuit of victory.

Kim Youngjin, Executive Vice President of Kumho Tire R&D Headquarters, said, "For the 2025 season, we have completed the best driver lineup and tire performance," adding, "We will do our utmost to help Kumho SL Motorsport Team claim the championship title with Kumho Tire's advanced racing tire technology."

Meanwhile, Kumho SL Motorsport was crowned both 'Tire Manufacturer Champion' and 'Team Champion' in the eN1 class of the 'Hyundai N Festival,' Korea's largest one-make race, last year.

The eN1 class is the electric vehicle race of the 'Hyundai N Festival,' the largest one-make race in Korea. It drew attention as Korea's first electric vehicle race and the world's first electric vehicle race to use racing slick tires.
