Fund Raised by Central Association, City and Provincial Chapters, and Industry-Specific Councils
The Korea Specialty Contractors Association announced on the 17th that it will donate 250 million won in relief funds to support recovery efforts for residents in the Gyeongsang region who are struggling due to wildfire damage.
This donation was voluntarily raised by the central association, 16 city and provincial chapters, and 12 industry-specific councils to help disaster victims who lost their homes in the wildfire return to their daily lives as soon as possible.
The funds will be delivered to residents in the wildfire-affected areas of the Gyeongsang region (Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, Ulsan) and will be used for recovery efforts and urgent livelihood support.
The Korea Specialty Contractors Association has been fulfilling its social responsibility through various forms of donations and volunteer activities.
Yoon Hak-su, president of the Specialty Contractors Association, said, "This sharing represents the heartfelt support of over 60,000 specialty construction workers nationwide for neighbors facing livelihood difficulties due to sudden disasters. The specialty construction industry will actively provide support whenever needed in the future." He added, "We also express our gratitude to the relief organizations and officials who worked hard during the wildfire suppression and evacuation process."
