Gyeonggi Office of Education, 2024 Fiscal Year Settlement Audit... Headquarters, Affiliated Agencies, and Education Support Offices

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has begun a settlement audit focusing on the overall operation of local education finances and the appropriateness of budget execution last year.


The Office of Education announced that it will conduct the "2024 Fiscal Year Settlement Audit" from the 17th to the 29th of this month.


This settlement audit will be carried out by a committee of 13 members, including Jang Yoon-jung (chief representative), Moon Seung-ho, and Lee Sang-won, members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly appointed on February 20, as well as certified public accountants, tax accountants, civil society organizations, and financial experts.


The audit targets include all departments and affiliated institutions of the Office of Education, as well as 25 education support offices.

In particular, the main audit targets are the Office of Education headquarters and six education support offices in Suwon, Anyang Gwacheon, Gwangmyeong, Yongin, Uijeongbu, and Gapyeong. The settlement audit committee members will visit the sites in person to conduct the audit.


The scope of the audit includes ▲ the settlement of revenues and expenditures of the Gyeonggi Education Special Account ▲ fund settlements ▲ financial statements ▲ performance reports ▲ gender-responsive settlements, including settlement documents and attached materials.


The audit results will be reviewed by the Provincial Assembly in June and posted on the Office of Education’s website.


An official from the Office of Education stated, "Through this settlement audit, we will evaluate and analyze last year's budget operation performance and actively reflect the opinions derived to do our best for sound and efficient local education financial management."
