Shinhan Financial Group Signs Sponsorship Contract with LPGA Member Lim Jin-hee

Shinhan Financial Group is sponsoring Im Jin-hee, who competes on the U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour.

On the 17th, Shinhan Financial Group announced that it signed a main sponsorship contract with Im Jin-hee. Starting from this week's LPGA Tour JM Eagle LA Championship, she will wear a cap featuring the Shinhan Financial Group logo during competitions. After learning that Im Jin-hee, now in her second year on the LPGA Tour, was facing difficulties, Shinhan Financial Group decided to change its previous policy of sponsoring only male players and chose to support Im Jin-hee. Shinhan Financial Group also sponsors Kim Sung-hyun on the PGA Tour and Song Young-han on the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO).

Im Jin-hee lost her sponsorship when Ankang Construction, which had supported her until last year, entered court receivership. From the beginning of this season, she competed wearing caps without any sponsor logos. Im Jin-hee, who spent five years as an unknown player after turning professional, gained fame as a late bloomer by winning her first career title at the 2016 KLPGA Tour BC Card Hankyung Ladies Cup and then securing four wins in 2023 to become the top winner of the season. Last year, she advanced to the LPGA Tour and finished second in the Rookie of the Year race.
