As the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential primary intensifies, former leader Lee Jae-myung will visit Daejeon, the first primary site, on the 17th.

On the same day, Lee will visit the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) located in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, to hold an on-site meeting.

Coinciding with his visit to ADD, Lee posted on Facebook "I will establish a defense export control tower and regularize presidential-led defense export promotion strategy meetings."

In his post, Lee pledged defense industry policies centered on this content, stating, "I will make South Korea one of the world's top four global defense industry powers."

Former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyung-soo held a discussion on "Carbon Reduction and the Role of Local Governments" with Katrin Stjernfeldt Jammeh, Mayor of Malm?, Sweden, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, in the morning of the same day, and gave a congratulatory speech at a symposium titled "Seeking International Solidarity Towards Carbon Zero Cities" in the afternoon.

Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon targeted the central region for the second consecutive day by paying respects at the April 19 Student Revolution Memorial Tower in Cheongju, Chungbuk, and holding a meeting with the Chungbuk Provincial Party Committee on the same day.
