Rare Guests Flock to Sea and River... 2025 Busan International Boat Show Kicks Off

Co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries
Held at BEXCO, Suyeong River, and Suyeongman

The 2025 Busan International Boat Show will take place from the 18th to the 20th at BEXCO and the Suyeong River area.

This event is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Dohyung), and co-organized by the Korea Marine Leisure Network, BEXCO, and the Marine Leisure Equipment Industry Association.

The Busan International Boat Show has been held annually since 2014 to popularize marine leisure tourism in Korea and strengthen the competitiveness of related industries, marking its 11th edition this year.

At BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1, more than 130 companies related to marine leisure tourism will showcase a variety of exhibits. Visitors can explore equipment and products necessary for marine leisure activities, including ▲yachts and boats ▲navigation, communication, and safety equipment for marine leisure ▲fishing gear, and more.

At each booth and consultation area, a 'business meeting' will be held between buyers from 12 countries including the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and industry representatives. Busan City plans to promote the excellence of domestic marine leisure equipment to the international community and support domestic companies in pioneering overseas markets.

Additionally, a forum featuring domestic marine experts on the theme of revitalizing marine leisure tourism, as well as special zones for online boat clubs and fishing gear, will be organized.

On the first day of the event, the 18th, a forum will be held with experts from industry, academia, and research institutes participating to discuss ways to vitalize the domestic marine leisure equipment industry and the necessity and direction of related institutional improvements.

Offline booths for the top two online boat clubs in Korea and a special fishing gear zone will also be operated to share boat activities.

Various indoor and outdoor marine leisure experience events will take place at BEXCO, the Suyeong River, and the Suyeongman Yacht Stadium.

At the BEXCO indoor exhibition hall, visitors can participate in ▲marine leisure experiences such as surfing, canoeing, children's fishing, and rowing machines, as well as ▲marine safety experience programs related to wearing life jackets and first aid. In addition, visitors who visit at least five out of ten QR stamp tour booths inside the exhibition hall will be eligible to win prizes through a lucky draw.

At the Suyeong River, visitors who complete the BEXCO stamp tour can enjoy a free boat ride experience, while at the Suyeongman Yacht Stadium, a yacht tour will be offered for international visitors.

The opening ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on the 18th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1. Around 50 participants, including representatives from Busan City, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Korea Marine Leisure Network, and citizens, will attend. The program will include ▲welcoming and congratulatory remarks ▲the Boat of the Year Award ceremony ▲an exhibition hall tour, and more.
