Gyeonggi-do RISE Project
Joint Cooperation Agreement Ceremony
On the 16th, Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 17th that it held the 'Gyeonggi-do RISE (Regional Innovation-Centered University Support System) Project Joint Cooperation Agreement Ceremony' at the History Lounge of Hanyang University ERICA Campus.

Through the agreement, the two institutions will jointly respond to the Gyeonggi-do RISE project and establish a practical industry-academia cooperation foundation to nurture region-specific talent and solve local community issues. The ceremony was attended by Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan, and Lee Ki-jung, President of Hanyang University ERICA, among others.
The 'Gyeonggi-do RISE' project involves regional and university cooperation among local governments, industries, and academia to promote mutual growth. The Ministry of Education transfers university financial support authority to local governments to support university innovation tailored to regional characteristics and development strategies. If selected for the project, institutions will implement four major projects and 16 unit tasks, including ▲ fostering the 7 major future growth industries (G7) ▲ developing regional innovation clusters ▲ innovating lifelong vocational education in life-cycle and linkage formats ▲ realizing mutual growth through local government-industry-academia cooperation.
Through the agreement, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in various fields such as ▲ supporting the execution of selected projects and unit tasks under the Gyeonggi-do RISE project call ▲ building alliances based on regional issues and supporting promotion ▲ exchanging and cooperating as necessary for the efficient promotion of the Gyeonggi-do RISE project.
Lee Min-geun, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "Based on this agreement, we will work with Hanyang University ERICA to nurture local talent and create a sustainable regional innovation model where industry and education coexist."
